autism diagnosis

Your child recently received the autism diagnosis and you received a referral for Applied Behavior Analysis.

what’s next?

Well, you’ve come to the right place. Verbal Beginnings specializes in Applied Behavior Analysis, commonly known as ABA therapy.

check your insurance coverage

If you’re looking to have this therapy covered by medical insurance, please fill out the insurance verification form. You’ll need to upload the front and back of your insurance card, the policy holder’s drivers license, a proof of diagnosis, and if you have a written referral, we’ll need that as well.

For those families that do not wish to pursue insurance coverage, you can contact [email protected] and ask for the initial intake form.

insurance benefits

Once we receive the insurance verification form, we’ll contact your insurance company and find out what your plan benefits are in terms of Applied Behavior Analysis. This will include information on whether you have the benefit or not, what your deductible, copay, and out of pocket maximum is. We’ll also be able to find out if an authorization is required.

The next step is to obtain an authorization. Many times, authorizations are required because Applied Behavior Analysis is monitored pretty closely by insurance companies to make sure it is medically necessary.

We’ll also send you some intake paperwork to fill out. This will give our clinicians some background information about your child so they have a good starting place when assessments begin.

Once we have all the information from you and from your insurance company, a Verbal Beginnings BCBA will contact you to get started with the Assessment and Therapy Process.
